Long before he led a firm of his own, Michael Roxford Tutelian was a kid in Fresno, California, tagging along with his father to construction sites. Those visits planted an idea that never left him: a well-planned building can change how a community lives, works, and gathers. Today he serves as Managing Partner of Tutelian Real Estate, LLC, and that early curiosity still shapes the way he approaches every project.
Learning the Craft at Home
Before joining a national firm, Tutelian built his foundation in Fresno’s property scene. Through Tutelian & Company and Civic Center Square, he contributed to projects such as Villagio and The Grand 1401. An early internship sharpened his understanding of zoning and financial projections, the kind of groundwork that makes complicated developments far more manageable down the road. Growing up in Fresno also taught him to respect local identity while still pushing for progress, a balance he has carried through his entire career.
A Decade at Hackman Capital Partners
Next came ten years at Hackman Capital Partners, a firm managing over $10 billion in assets. As Vice President of Real Estate Development & Construction, Tutelian guided acquisitions, entitlements, and construction oversight. Working alongside top architects, he helped transform underutilized properties into high-value assets. That experience gave him a disciplined, results-driven way of working, and he now brings the same precision to his own company.
From Local Builder to Global Name
Tutelian now leads multimillion-dollar projects for clients such as Apple and Boeing’s Millennium Space Program. His formula has not changed much over the years: pair Fresno values with the rigor learned at Hackman. Michael Roxford Tutelian shows that a hometown outlook and world-class standards can coexist, producing developments that serve clients well while strengthening the communities that surround them. His story is a reminder that big careers often grow from small, local beginnings.
